Default Server Grade Hardware & The Transition of Traditional Storage Media

What are you opinions on the possible transitions of currently used storage media to M2s?

Is it even likely or feasible?

I know, as of now, that some chassis manufacturers are including internal M2 slot(s) but it usually no more than 2.

I was curious to see if anyone has better information that is available out there, and if the possibility of seeing a 2-4u chassis with only M2s would be likely in a few years?

I could only image the space/heat savings from this, even greater than the transition from spinning disk to SSDs.https://solitaire.onl/ 9apps.ooo/

Do you feel like this is even on a road-map for some manufacturers?

Any server that's going to use M.2 technology is not going to use M.2 slots. They're going to use PCIe NVMe cards.

Of course, if you did want to use multiple M.2 slot SSDs, you could always get an M.2 carrier card that converts two M.2 SSD's to a PCIe slot.
