Old versions of Focus have problems with latest graphics cards (transient response and/or protetcion settings). This issue has been adressed by Seasonic quite a while ago, but not sure about the rebranded versions.

Ah okay, since my GPU is quite old ( 980Ti ) mby i won't have issues even if i get the version with the issue still there, too bad XFX support is useless and they can't give any info also no idea when the XTR2 was even released, but my guess is around 2017, since it was already leaked in 2016 by Orion.

Do you recall who makes that platform? Is it FSP?

I can't say I haven't seen this exact same problem with that exact same bulk cap. Not crying "sky is falling", but it seems quite coincidental.

Yes, this is FSP platform. RMA rate seems to be below 2%, probably even below 1%. If Pure Power 11 had massive quality problem I should know.

Yeah but now they have overload problems and violate the ATX spec before switching off.

    Yep, FSP.
Similar to the old Straight Power E10, just two rails and mostly Teapo SC instead of SY or SJ for the 3300F Caps.
You can call it modified Raider with two independant minor rail circuits, so not group regulated.

    Looks like this:

Exploding bulk cap is really rare these days, but it happends... sometimes...
This is a high power platform and the picture is from only few weeks ago. Never seen like this before, and the customer service(Micronics) said like that too.. XD

Yes. Bulk cap failures are VERY rare. And usually point to a defective cap or bad PSU design.

Any idea what make/model bulk cap is in the PSU in your picture?

I thought that might be changing with APFC and rectangular wave UPS units.

Not if the voltage of the bulk cap is high enough, it doesn't matter.

Looks like its Rubycon or Nichicon...

The K-Shape makes it pretty clear...
Are there non Japanese makers that use K-Shape Vents??

PS: Slight shorts after the Cap might also cause it to explode...
