    Default Counter rotating fans

I recall Howard Hughes and some Russian planes use counter rotating props and some planes use single bladed props. I believe both approaches are more efficient and was wondering if there were any such computer fans; I imagine the first might be rather noisy, but the induced turbulence might be good for heat transfer.

Used to be fairly common for CPU coolers. But when word got out that other coolers with a single fan actually cooled as well, with the same amount of noise, for less money (because 2 > 1), that they faded out in the early '00's.
