Starting with the cheapest socket 775 cpu (celeron 326) and working up in price, which is the cheapest cpu that would outperform my current one? Just assume that everything else in the system will remain the same. It's a question I've been trying to answer myself, but I can't seem to find any review providing that sort of comparison.
edit - I had assumed the celerons would all be slower so was eyeballing the pentium 531 as the likely target (it is only £3 more than the 524).
Stay away from those Celeron D's
Your also looking at more heat plus wattage usage from that Presscott core and 775 mobo.
Why not go with a cheap 939 NF4 and X2 combo?
