    XP has a window limit as well... there's a registry setting for it.

    Oh man! So if I head a spreadsheet for every week of the year opened up on my desktop, I couldn't also open up my email!?!!?

    Just no aero glass, without that, more windows work fine.

    And FWIW, it's based on system memory in some way, I've got 4 GB of ram, and can open more than 52 aero glass windows.
