    How many power supplies can tolerate 115F ambient?

    Um... Most.

    Operating temperature range is typically 0 to 50C for even desktop PSUs.

    Many will support full 24/7 load at 50C wsithout derate.

    From Corsair: TX-M, RMx, RMi, HX, HXi, AX, AXi all can do full load at 50C.

    CX and CX-M can do full load at 40C and can operate at 50C with a 10% derarte.

    What's the derate on the VS series? I know they're 30C/24-7, but I don't think their curve has been mentioned before.

    I meant a distinction between ambient (room temperature) and intake temperature.

    I guess if the supply is taking air in from outside, they are the same, but if the supply
    is feeding off air from inside the PC they differ; since 115F is 46C the distinction is
    important.

    Now I need help on what modern power supplies do in regard to air flow direction.

    650W at 30 degree Celsius.
    600W at 40 degree Celsius
    480W at 50 degree Celsius

    1st: Imperial Measurements suck and are only used by some Country somewhere...
    You're talking about ~45C Ambient, aren't you?

    All somewhat decent PSU should
    Depends on the Load, obviously.

    But if a power supply draws air from inside the case it will be inputting well above ambient.

    Pretty sure all power supplies ever made are drawing air from the inside of the case.

    Cases where you can mount the PSU with the fan pointing down towards the floor are a relatively new thing. And none of the PSU manufacturers that I know of are taking for granted that you're going to mount your PSU that way.

    Interesting. I have been building computers where the PSUs draw air from beneath the case for ten years, and I got the impression at the time that this practice was not new.

    I have mine mounted so that it acts as an additional outlet for my RX470. (Sorry for the abuse of the CX450M, Jonny! : -)
