    Default Corsair VS650 review @ Tom's Hardware

The Corsair VS650 is one of the most affordable 650W power supplies that you will find on the market today. There might be some rather unknown brands promising higher capacities at even lower prices, but this is a Corsair product so it is supported by a solid warranty and it offers decent performance while at the same time, the majority of its protection features operate properly. With a 46 bucks price in the US and around 47 pounds in the UK, the VS650 is a good choice for anyone on a really tight budget.

I took the liberty of sending units to Aris because of all the people assuming that VS Series is a box of bad mojo.

It's not utterly crap, there is just simply no market for this PSU.

Tell that to the thousands of people that buy it every week.

We both know they all buy it because it says 650w on the box and the Corsair CX450 / 450M are all right around the same $45-50 price point.

It helps when someone who has control of the units actually knows something about them.

Edit: Hmm -- six models, 400-650W. Did you really build 400-450-500-550-600-650W? Wouldn't fewer models be cheaper?

400/500/600w units are the older models that aren't actively being produced or marketed anymore. You can definitely find them on the shelves some places but the 450/550/650w models are what Corsair is pushing at the moment.
