    Yeah, especially since you see it on many EVGA units and also Cooler Master uses a Switch for that as well.
    And in some markets that patent might not even be enforcible because its not innovative enough to be a valid patenten.

    The simplest Implementation I can think of is a switch and 2 diodes.
    But the Semi Fanless Chip might also have a pin to set min voltage and or override the "0V Operation"...
