Site updates....

Ok, I've got both the main site and the forums working after due to the size of the databases.

WordPress's first go didn't work to well... I had already been working on it prior to the outage. I had roughly 2+ years worth of reviews converted over repaired and ready to go. When I uploaded WP, it didn't like something about the change. Only way around it was a fresh install. So that means the main site is going to take me a little longer due to having to redo those 2+ years worth of reviews as well as the rest of the reviews.

The forums on the other had. There could be some issues still lingering around with the forums. For now the only things I noticed was the Logo was missing and the Avatars appear to be hosed. I'm not going to worry about that right now, I'm going to focus my main efforts on getting the reviews back in the main site. I will be upgrading the forums once I get enough content in the main site. If you do find errors, simply make a post letting me know and Ill put it on the short list.

Consider setting the review font to a sans-serif one. Serif fonts, like the currently used Domine, aren't meant to be used for main text on computer screens since they're less readable in large quantities.

Have to agree.

Try something like PT Sans : https://fonts.google.com/specimen/PT+Sans (play with the default size)
Even Roboto looks better: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto

Hey, at least I can use TLS now without breaking all the images \o/

Kinda mixed feelings on the font here. I can read the current one just fine, and Roboto looks fine too. PT Sans, not so much. But why not just leave that part out and let the font from the user's web browser settings be used?

Either way it's more readable than HardOCP's backwards contrast.

IMHO the font size has changed to be really, REALLY small. I have to use 150% zoom to be able to read http://www.jonnyguru.com/blog/2007/0...-power-supply/ on a 24" 1080p monitor about 80cm away from me.

EDIT: Also:
1) Several avvies are still missing, mine and JG's included.
2) Where is the button/link to view articles as one page / "Print view" please, or am I just missing it?

I wear glasses and don't have any issues reading it at 100% from 2' away. I'll look into making adjustments once I get things all loaded back up. I picked the base theme on the main site because it was setup for SEO and Mobile friendly.

As of right now there's no "Printer Friendly". Thats something Ill have to look into.

Everyone will just need to reset their avatars... Not sure what the problem is on them. I plan to upgrade the forums as soon as I get the main site close to 100%.

Resetting the avatars is one thing... but losing all the forum attachments is a huge deal.

WELL, Reset those avatars again cause I just hosed them trying to fix them.

Im thinking the forum update will be sooner than plan.
