Default psu recommendations needed for rx580 build in uk please

Hi, my Xfx just started dying after 4 years and it seems the 5 year warranty isn't that practical in the Uk (customer service are telling me I need to ship it to Holland, where at best i can hope for a 28 turnaround while the bulk ship it to china and back, and the upon return I will need to pay a tax of between 50-100 euros. I mean, this raises a lot of questions but its been a nightmare even getting this information so I've decided to just buy a new one)

I guess I will overclock at some point, I haven't looked into it yet.

I'm in the UK and using https://pricespy.co.uk
    budget is under £100

Note, while researching over the last couple of days I read some things about Seasonic PSU that should have been adequate for the GPU but in practice not being. I have no idea if this will be familiar, or if its just rubbish, but it would bother me if I didn't mention it.

I'm new at this, but Im getting indications that I should have anything between 450w and 650w for my setup.

Oh if manufacturer of PSU actually has a good warranty (like a UK address to ship to would be amazing) that would be wonderful.

    thankyou!

I really don't understand why there aren't any UK based brands or at least more brands that have RMA/support in the UK.

It's not like the UK is a third world country.

EVGA has RMA. Corsair does. But I'm surprised there isn't a lot more. Most companies treat UK as "a small part of the EU" and make people ship to some where in the NL.

Sometimes feels like one (I was born there, have family there and have spent a considerable amount of time there).

So would the supernova 650 be suitable for this setup do you think? It looks like from the pin arrangement, I would need to draw power from both the video card 1 and video card 2 outputs to power the rx580 on 6 and 8 pin. I don't know if this makes a difference to anything? (I don't intend to run a second card)

Evga has a uk address to send to for RMA and a really clear document on the procedure so that's miles better than XFX already.

Yep 90% of the time you're going to be sending them to the rest of Europe, which for a PSU is usually around £30+ at the best of times. EVGA have a 3rd party company that handles the UK RMA's which is really easy to deal with. Corsair has had for a few years a UK RMA that is nice and easy plus quick. As far as I'm aware everyone else is in Europe at best. Retailers here are also very reluctant to do anything unless forced by the manufactures and if it's after 30 days pretty much don't care.

On a different note, I'm quite a sure Corsair UK RMA is something to do with Scan.co.uk as there the same ship address and most product replacements I have back off them have scan product code stickers on them.

TLDR for UK: Product availability is great, returns are shite.

Hey again, sorry to keep bumping this. If someone could give the second opinion that a evga G3 650 would be sufficient for the setup listed in the op, particularly regards powering one gpu from slots on the psu designated as video card 1 and 2 (this is how I'm understanding that I would need to install, I might be totally wrong!) That would really ease mind and be greatly appreciated. There seem like so many more valuables to buying a psu than I previously thought! Thanks!

Super Flower works mostly with OCuk in UK. If you buy Super Flower PSU at OCuk OCuk also will handle the 5/7 year warranty. If you buy it anywhere else reseller might not be interested. OCuk also won't help competitors customers and communication with Super Flower Taiwan HQ is difficult. This might be similar for other brands. The long warranty period for some brands is only actually helpful if you buy the PSU in the correct shop.
