I just got gifted a used strix 1080, and I don't think my cx 500 is going to be up to the task long term, I have a old coolermaster 700 in my old system sitting in the closet, but it's freaking OLD man, like 7+ years, so that's also out i think.
I'm currently running a i5 4690k, oc'd to 4.6ghz@1.2vcore, 3 hdd's, 1 SSD and 2 sticks of ram. I will be overclocking the 1080 as well, though i'm not planning to push hard, I just go for the easy overclocks, maybe bump the voltage\power limit a bit and go till it get's unstable on regular air cooling.
My options are somewhat limited due to my remote location, amazon.ca has both the best prices, and options the best I can tell.
I'd like to keep the price down while also getting a quality long lasting PSU, I'm not adverse to spending money on quality, just to spending money on crap that isn't performance\longevity related (don't need no stinkin RGB) Semimodular would be nice, fully modular unneeded.
I'm also looking for something I won't have to replace in the near future, the 1080 is probably staying for quite some time, but I may be upgrading my cpu\ram\mobo, still a gaming centric rig though, so nothing crazy. I figure 550-650 watts should cover anything i'm going to want to run in the next 5-10 years. I could be wrong here, feel free to let me know.
all prices i'm quoting here are canadian btw.

current top pick for each category based on the research i've done myself would be the EVGA bq650, Corsair RM650x, EVGA 650g2. I'm leaning towards the rm650x.
There are many other similar models, but i wanted to weed some out before posting here, some are due to price oddities (the rm550x costs more then the 650x), some because they just struck me as lower quality then other options already on the list at the same price.
Sorry if this post is a bit long, wanted to make sure i covered all the relevant information, and thanks for the advice in advance
