We run vBulletin forums setup, but it's not hosted on their hosting (assuming you're talking about vBulletin's hosting). I dealt with vBulletin's support a good while back and had no complaints. They did everything one could have expected them to do.

I am considering creating a website and have it hosted by wix. Can you advise me what would be the best template and site hosting options...my business is selling bespoke music backing tracks and sheet music arrangements of classic and modern songs, plus advertising music production and myself as a session musician/producer/arranger.

How realistic is it to host ones own Web site on something like a Raspberry Pi that can be left up 24/7?

Not unrealistic. Back in the day, I paid extra for a static IP from my cable modem ISP and hosted a couple sites from home.

    Pre-jonnyguru.com, of course.

$100 gets one a 4GB Raspberry Pi, all needed parts included, even case and postage.

One big issue is consumption as a 100W computer will consume $100 or more of electricity a year (if on 24/7)
