Shang Hung could be one of the factories that does the final assembly.
Shang Hung either does final assembly or PCBA.

A couple years ago when Seasonic thought they would bring production back to Taiwan, they had a number of PCBA suppliers in Taiwan. They would then bring the parts into Seasonic's Taoyuan facility for final assembly. This product could be following the same suit.

Didn't even know Seasonic had a place in Taoyuan. I've been to their HQ in Taipei but never heard of any other site in Taiwan. I'm wondering though why noone is setting up assembly in southern Taiwan. Salaries for workers are lower there than in mainland china nowadays.

Yes. When Prime first launched, they were doing final assembly in Taoyuan. That lasted a year before they realized they were losing money, so they shut that down. That's about the time when Prime became Prime Ultra and is one of the differentiators.

There may be some final assembly factories popping up in Southern Taiwan if the Trump 25% tariff goes through. But remember: To be considered "made in Taiwan", 35% of the unit's cost (parts and/or labor) has to be from Taiwan. So you can't just ship sub-assemblies to Taiwan, have it put into a housing and call it Made in Taiwan.

The Prime story I knew. Didn't know the exact location though.
