    Arrow Riotoro Builder 500W Review

It's been a little while since we last looked at a Riotoro unit, but it's as good a time as any to see if their units are still worthy of our attention. In keeping with the theme of my last review, we'll check out a 500 watt Riotoro bargain unit called the Builder Edition. We'll find out just how well it holds up.

I'm pleasantly surprised, DC-DC at this budget level is nice to see, and a 40c temp rating is also good...

I'd have liked to see a better quality fan in there - a rifle bearing fan and perhaps a slightly more aggressive fan curve would be a good way to extend the lifespan of the unit whilst minimising cost increases, those looking for absolute silence are generally looking at more premium units anyway...

Seems like Riotoro got something against Europeans, German and French flags are both flipped

The 12 V ripple is very chaotic, it's very unusual for such units.

It's around 40 euro including VAT here, which is around the same price as the be quiet! System Power 9 400W and Xilence Performance A+ 430W. Those three units are the cheapest PSU's with DC-DC available here.

Is the right heatsink supposed to lean like that?

I've seen lots of Pisa bridge rectifier heatsinks in reviews, but never a secondary heatsink crooked *that* much.
