    It is what it is. Cost $44 to ship from massachusetts to california! Fedex almost wanted double! Insane! Should have shipped it in its original packaging. Would have cost less. I mean who cares if it arrives at Corsair's doorstep all dinged up. Not like it was a working power supply!

    If the unit is damaged in shipping, they could refuse an RMA.

    Yep.

    If it arrives damaged, they can say it's dead because it's damaged.

    I used to work RMA. People were funny. They'd stick RAM in letter size envelopes. I'd get them broken in two or at least best at a 45° angle. I'd reject the RMA and the customer would say "what does it matter? The RAM was dead anyways." How do I know that? I can't prove it and I can't just take your word for it.

    Unfortunately not. The manufacturer has to test the product faulty themselves, a consumer test won't count in their eyes.
