Default Deepcool Gamer Storm DQ850-M review @ KitGuru

Deepcool is a Chinese company mostly known for its impressive looking chassis. The same company also sell air cooled and liquid CPU coolers as well as power supplies. Although it has been quite a while since the last time that we got our hands on a Deepcool PSU, a look at the official site reveals a large number of corresponding products with the majority of them addressing mainstream systems.

Nice to see another one using the multi rail Bitfenix Whisper M Plattform.

Seems like one has to go forward and others will adopt Multi Rail as well!

Deepcool’s cpu coolers pricing is very good in my country.
Wonder why their psu pricing is not in the same way...

DQ650M-850M cost roughly the same as Corsair RMx.

To be fair, Corsair's RMx and this CWT design are very similar both in terms of design and performance. You can only make electronics so cheap before you're selling them below cost.

Deepcool claims to have am FDB fan... Hopefully they aren't lying, but I'm far from confident. Also, 20awg wiring on this level of unit sucks... Overall it looks good, just has a few weak points...

I use Corsair RMx as an example because Corsair pricing here is pretty bad too.
For the same product level, Super Flower and Seasonic-based products are condiserably cheaper.

    DQ850-M costs 160$ / Leadex 850W costs 135$ / Antec HCG 850 costs 130$

I'd not worry about it too much as the max. Amperage of a 20AWG Copper Wire should should be equal to around 0,5mm² wich is good for 9A inside the wall according to the VDE. And up to 12A free floating with space between the wires.
The connectors are rated for 6-9A.

So the only Problem is the higher voltage drop of the cable.

And if it is a too big of a deal, you might probably be able to use the Corsair Cables anyway. Because the Unit doesn't seem to have any changes to the Whisper M, wich already is pretty compatible with the Corsair Type 4 pinout.
