    Post Corsair TX750M (2017) vs RM750X (2018) vs Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 750W - which one ?

All three are on sale, same price, but which one is the best ?

Score-wise, the TX750M (2017) and the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 750W are neck and neck with a 9.6, while the RM750X (2018) is bellow them with a 9.3 (reviews from jonnyguru) however, asking somewhere, they have been tiered to me from best to worst as:

    Corsair RM750x (2018)
    Seasonic Focus Plus 750
    Corsair TX750M (2017)

I live in an area with poor power line quality, fluctuating, and these are the absolute best PSU's my friend can afford (the SuperNova G3 always gets suggested, but it's actually 25% more expensive, way over budget).

Wait... They're all the same price?!?!!?!?

    The RM750x for sure.

The TX750M should be a solid $10 cheaper. The fact that you can get an RMx for the same price makes it a no-brainer.

As for "the scores", you need to actually read WHY those PSUs got those scores and not just look at the final score. The TX-M got a 9 for value. The RM750x only got an 8. Why Because at the time the reviews were written, the TX-M was TWENTY DOLLARS CHEAPER THAN THE RMx!!!!! The only reason the RMx got a half a point taken off of performance is because it didn't have the "mythic" voltage regulation of the TX-M. .6% vs. .35%.

For God's sake people... READ THE REVIEWS. Don't just shoot to the last page and look at the final score. That's pointless.

And not just that, speaking of RM750x (2018) and FPG 750, there is more into it - RMx has a much more balanced and well thought fan curve, it stays basically constantly loud (silent) even when reaching the higher input power values, however FPG has a fan curve set so it unpleasantly ramps up at higher load. Even at 500W from the main rail (so OC'd K-Intel and higher end GPU and you can cross that line and get a couple of dB more compared to RMx and unless you have some other very loud component in your rig you will notice it...a lot).

Check Cybenetics, for general info about efficiency, component analysis and a full noise graph it is a savior, especially for us, acolytes!

That's like watching the final part of a movie or the last episode of a TV series.
