Default confused on modular 8pin pcie connectors

hey guys ive been wondering for the last few days about modular 8 pin cables from different manufacturers like corsair thermaltake are they similar on the psu side and if not how do they all go to the same connector at the card? wasnt sure if there was a thread with this already

No. More often than not, the cables from one PSU are NOT pinned the same as the cables from another. Never mix and match PSU DC cables. You can kill your PC or, worse, start a small fire.

You can always ring up CableMod. Since you're in FL, I'd suggest going through Performance PC's in Palm Bay.

That is... before the tariffs come into play and kill all our businesses.

You don't need caps. Caps in cables are a marketing tool.

Do you actually WANT to make your new cable (which can be a fun experience... or a nightmare) or do you want to buy the cable premade?

I initially thought you just wanted to buy the correct cable.

What 8-pin are you looking for? The PCIe or the EPS12V?
