Corsair RM650i-750i worth it?

I want to buy a new PSU to replace a crappy generic PSU and start overclocking

and I can find these two psus for $2200-2500 in mexico (the difference in price between the two is very little so)

do you think the 650W is fine or is it best to go with the 750W for future proofing?

Is RMi too overkill for my build? which is an i3 4160 with 8gb and a gtx 950 BUT I MAY UPGRADE TO BETTER PARTS IN THE FUTURE

because I can get corsair CX grey/EVGA GD/Cooler masterwatt bronze 450-550W (no MWE) for half the price of the rmi

I mean, i have been using a crap PSU that probably has loose ripple/voltage regulation for about three years do you think rmi can extend the lifespan of my components if I decide no to upgrade soon?

Any other options you suggest? Again I am saving up some money I can spend more if necessary

Are you looking at the RMi as opposed to the RMx because you want the software monitoring and control? Because that attributes to about a $10 (USD) cost adder between the two.

The difference in price isn't very big and rmi enables me to use multirail mode isn't it? I also heard the RMi has a better fan

Yes. RMi also has a true FDB fan.

Yes. You can toggle single/multiple +12V rail mode on RMi.

If you are going to replace your PSU, I think you should take advantage of that to get a decent units that will last you a long time

so yes rmx/rmi is worth it, even if you have low end components
