The Seasonic rep got straight back to me with this:

First please change out the battery on the MB, this might help. If not, then you should have the MB tested to see if the VRM is ok. I am sorry I don't know how this can be done. It is possible one or more of the capacitors on the MB's VRM is old and near failure and loses too much capacitance so it will not help the boot cycle.

Once the system runs, the capacitors are charged and ok but if left sitting, then the issue starts.

My knowledge of things like this is a bit limited but I have had a bit of a look around a few sites and this seems a good explaination for the issues I have been having. What it doesn't answer if indeed this is the problem why one of the 2 components could cause the same fault in 2 different machines.

If any of you guys with a bit more knowledge could give me a bit more guidance I would appreciate it.

    Thanks all for looking

Remember: I thought the same thing....

Until you told me it was in two different PCs with two different motherboards.

Were you clearer about this with the rep than you were im this thread?
