    Default Cheap Maglev Fans

I can get the corsair ml120 in my country for 13 euros per fan, it's been the same price for some time, what's the catch. Aren't maglev fans better than fdb?

Do note that these aren't the pro version.

It is not possible to totally levitate; there is still physical contact.

Depends on your use case if the ML120s are best for you but MagLev and FDB are roughly equal to one another. If all factors of the fan design were the same (e.g. blade geometry, housing, materials, etc) then I would choose whichever bearing choice was cheapest.

Irrelevant to what he was asking.

My reasoning is that one might think levitation gives rise to indefinite bearing life, but the fact that there is still physical contact means this is not the case; so I felt it relevant to his question

Good fans for so cheap, I still think that there's a catch.
