    Unhappy Corsair CX450M Noise

    Hey all,

Just built a new PC yesterday and my Power Supply has been making this weird grinding(?) Noise. Is it safe to use? Could it be the fan?

    Here's a video :

Seems that the fan is having a lot of fun. Very common in CX units, just ask for a replacement from your store.

If it's just the fan rubbing against the housing, just get something into the grill and pry it out a bit if you can stop the rubbing.

CWT's PSU housings are only 0.6mm thick and are easily bent in transit.

Unfortunately, that didn't work at all. Noise is getting worse now

Ask for a replacement from the store where you purchased the PSU

In that case ask Corsair. The CX450M comes with 5 years warranty.

I thought EU had a warranty law that required sellers to support product for up to two years.

At any rate, Corsair has a UK based RMA center. Just fill out the form on their website.

Right he's from Ireland, in that case it's quite strange that Amazon doesn't want to except the RMA, because they need to.

I'm sure we're not getting the full story. Like, maybe he contacted Amazon and ask for refund, which they are not obligated to do after 30 days.
