Default Need help deciding which PSU

Hello there, PSU people. I'll try to keep it brief.

    Current PC is: Z68 motherboard, i7-2600, 2x4GB, GTX 1060, 1xPCIe sound card, 1xSSD, 5xHDD, several fans.

Hopefully, someday I will upgrade to Intel Something-lake or Zen-Something, but it isn't going to be any time soon.

Based on my understanding 500-550W is entirely sufficient for my current and future needs, as I don't overclock or plan to use (multiple) high-end graphics cards.

I've narrowed the choice between the following: Corsair RM550x, EVGA G3 550, and Seasonic Focus 650W.

I've included the Focus, even though it's an overkill, because it is actually the cheapest, and there is no 550W model where I live.

-all three of them are solid choices, you can't go wrong by choosing any of them.
-P.S. If you are searching for as much silent PSU as possible, perhaps you should avoid the G3 unit, since the entire series is considered as a noisy one. It's overall performance is great though.

Yeah, that's my impression too, that they are all great units, and that the G3 is the noisiest (even though probably it won't be noisy enough to bother me), whereas the RMX is the quietest one.

Still, because I'm having a hard time choosing, I decided to see what you guys would say.

A good 450W is also enough to power one high-end graphics card and a s115x or AM4 CPU. Best choice depends on the availability and pricing. A link to the store were you buy or a Bulgarian price comparator would help us to see what's available for which price.

I don't mind linking you to such sites but they do not have any English translation so I'm not sure how productive that would be.

A price comparator can be found here:
    https://www.pazaruvaj.com/zahranvawi-blokove-c3158/

Another store with decent prices and variety that is not featured in the above comparator is this:
    http://www.vario.bg/komponenti-zakhranvane

However, based on what I gathered, there are barely any good PSUs below 500W, at least here.

I believe the only one is the XFX XTS 460W (can be found in the second store I linked to). However, it is a tad more than I was planning to spend.

I don't have to understand what it says.

But for current pricing the Seasonic Focus Plus 650W looks like the most interesting option: https://www.pazaruvaj.com/zahranvawi...fx-p381648181/

Hence why I've included it in the list and considering it, even though its power rating is higher than I actually need.
I wish the 550W version of the Focus was available.

I've got a 550W G3, I've never noticed any noise problems from it. (The rest of my system fans are quiet fans, so it's not being covered up.)

I've looked into some reviews of the Focus Plus on THG, where they failed some transient response tests. It was also on the 750W model but I would assume it's a platform issue. I don't know how bad that is, though.

I also compress a lot of video using x264 so the PC is very often under some load so I don't know how long the Focus and/or the G3 would remain fanless or spins fans at low RPM so as to not be audible.

So far I'm leaning towards the RMx. This is hard.

The RMx is also a very good choice.
If you wish to view the noise levels at various loads take a look at Cybenetics website.
For RM550x here is all the data you need.
You need to look at the "Noise Graph" table.
