Default PSU fan questions: are Hong Hua, Yate Loon, Globe, ADDA, good fans?

Hi, i do this question beacause i see in some new PSU (like the new Focus, Prime, G3, TX, CXM..) that they have a FDB fan, which is good in comparison with a sleeve bearing, but i have this doubt:

Most of the FDB fans in PSU i see it's a Hong Hua model, rarely i see a FBD Globe or other OEMs, but this Hong Hua fan it's really a FDB or it's a sort of rifle bearing? beacause i know the true fluid dynamic bearing is from a Matsushita Patent, but i don't know if Hong Hua FDB are with this patent or is again the classic long life sleeve bearing with different name (like the hydraulic bearing)?

In theory FBD fans have like a 250-300000 hours of MTBF, but many fans who in the specs says "Fluid dynamic bearing" the MTBF it's like 100-15000 hours or 50-70000 hours, maybe a low quality FDB or a "fake FDB"?

Also on many PSU OEMs fan i can't find a datasheet.

I asked the same question about Hong Hua a while ago, got such answers:

    Dunno if much changed since.

My experience with YL, Globe and ADDA has not been stellar, though they are serviceable if you aren't a silence freak.

Fans I consider "good" are for instance Protechnic FDB or Enermax TB (though some reported bad batches).

    Powerlogig should also be good...

Sadly Protechnic doesn't do 'small stuff' no more so no chance to see them in PSU no more...

    What's changed is what I've learned about Corsair's R&D department's practices.

The FDB bearings used in Corsair's fans are not Hong Hua. They're actually Protechnic. Hong Hua does not have a true FDB bearing and neither does anyone else unless it's Protechnic or Panaflo.

The thing about Protechnic is it's actually STILL cheaper to buy the bearing from Protechnic and have someone else build the fan than to have Protechnic build the fan. They are STUPID expensive. Great quality, but STUPID expensive.

    What about Powerlogic?

They don't make an FDB that I know of.

The Powerlogic fans that FSP claims are FDB are actually rifle bearing.

They don't claim to be FDB, that's why they called them HDB.

So Hong Hua fans are the classic long life sleeve bearing variant like the Hydraulic Bearing or rifle? beacause also on some commercial name fans i have notice this thing, some commercial fans that claims to have a FDB bearing have silly MTBF for this bearing (50-7000 hours, which is more like for a Rifle, meanwhile a FDB minimum have 150 or 300k hourse) and they renamed to HDB.

I want to know if Nidec, Top Motor and Jamicon (Kaimei) are good fans too.
