    Question LY-1600K Bitcoin PSU?

Honestly, some PSUs are just..... well, impossible to find the OEM behind it. Google has failed me, or rather, my google-fu is expended.

this is apparently a Gold plus 1600w psu, but the 12v rails only does 1480w as seen in the pics below.

so, I think something is off for a $100 1600w psu. Something is off.

    Seen worse, seen better.

Looks like it should be able to deliver at least 1000W. But the efficiency probably won't be close to 80PLUS Gold.

I like how the housing doesn't have any certifications whatsoever, as you'd expect... except RoHS compliance.

Similar wonder on a polish bitcoin forum: https://forum.bitcoin.pl/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=22592
Internals visible on 2nd page: https://forum.bitcoin.pl/viewtopic.p...22592&start=20 Same platform and OEM, "1800W" this time.

    - kondesatory sa tylko dwa i to wcale nie pokaznych wymiarow (nie mamy specyfikacji o pojemnosci) wiec slabo widze trzymanie napiec
Forum users were suspicious and commented about the internals. This one says "It only has two small capacitors, so I don't believe the voltages are stable".

There are many more small PSU factories we never heard of here in Europe. Jon has checked out other brands model and it was really crappy. If there would be a way to build 1600W Gold PSU for around 100 USD I'm sure those would be sold in EU/US as well. Most likely wattage and efficieny is simply fake. Plus parts are cheap, so they won't last long.

Yeah. All the small Chinese factories are coming out of the woodwork with the whole mining craze.

I can tell you this is NOT Great Wall.

Also note the input voltage. Wouldn't work in the U.S.
