Default Sharkoon Silentstorm Icewind: Bronze DC-DC units with cable sleeving for 69.90€

With the SilentStorm Icewind, fresh wind captures the popular power supply series from Sharkoon. No longer in subtle black but now with a blown in touch of snow white and ice blue, it brings perennial gaming power to demanding computers. Naturally, the textile braided cable also fits perfectly into the color scheme.

This can only be a really lowend design.

The colors aren't exactly mainstream. Wondering why they haven't picked more conservative color scheme.

@-The_Mask- Sharkoon announces they are DC-DC, probably simple double forward with cheap components. Who knows... we'll have to wait a bit

    Or Forever...
Because it's a house brand of a big German Distributor...
So normally you don't see many reviews of their stuff at all...

And one of the reviews lead them to kill one of their lineups...

Looking at the where to buy, it must be Alternate aka Wave.

I think you are true. Both Sharkoon and Alternate are stablished in Linden, Germany. The Sharkoon press release comes from there and Wikipedia says Alternate headquarters are there.

I expected it to be worse, it's a High Power double forward design with DC-DC. Rubycon primary and Teapo SC secondary.

Sharkoon is mostly part of Shift IT same as Wave, Mix-Computers and Alternate.
