Exclamation Can't choose the right Wattage amount HELP!

Help///my intentions next week to custom build the following
    CPU: i3 7100
    MB: ASUS gaming b250f
    RAM: 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz/ one stick
    Storage: SAMSUNG M.2 960 EVO 256GB
no DVD no GPU no intention what so ever to overclock
I am considering to install 400 watts PSU, according to pcpartpicker.com the total wattage is 166W roughly.
the seller tells me to go for the 550Watts, so I am pretty confused!

I guess you're going to draw something like 40W (forty watts) on average: personally I'd advice for something like a Silverstone SST-ST30SF V1.0 (SFX with ATX plate adapter), or maybe a Seasonic G-360 (ATX, more modern, a bit less quiet).
A 400W unit would work also, likely a Be Quiet Straight Power E10 400W (BN230) or Pure Power L10 400W CM (BN276, modular but a bit less efficient, a bit less quiet).
    Best, Luca

550W is something you need for an overclocked GTX 1080 Ti and an overclocked Ryzen 7 1800X. Your PC will take less then 100W at all times.

Get a g4560 as it's half the price with the nearly the same performance as the i3 7100
