I dont see much gain over Rmi fan. As both were rated to run at 50 dege.

Unlike ball bearing they are rated to run over 63k hours of lifespan.

Except the type of bearing is different.

Again, I didn't get you: maybe it's my fault, but what have your comments to do with the question?

rmx and rmi fan types wont matter much. As both are backed by 10 Year warranty so give it a go which you need performance wise both simillar except the monitoring and fan control options. if one can afford can go for rmi otherwise go for rmx

The issue here was the fan controller and not the fan, because the latter topic has already been discussed to death previously.

Well, as said above, this kind of comments is completely off topic and basically useless: I'd be grateful to you if you can avoid such gratuitous posts.

Aris' results line up more closely with the RMi's official curve.

I should have known this off the top of my head.

The RMi fan is a PWM fan with a starting RPM of 500.

The RMx fan is a regular DC fan with a starting RPM of 600.

It would be an act of mental masturbation to try to sync up the curves, even from 600 on up. Not impossible, but completely unnecessary in practical application.

I don't mind sync up the curves, but I would be glad if the RMi were a bit less noisy.

Then, using the LINK software, you set it to always run and then it won't ramp up as often/at all.

But LINK still has that 40% minimum RPM fan speed IIRC, with my RM750i that is about 700RPM, which is not really silent with 135mm fan.
