    Default power supply surges detected

Hello. I have an question about one topic from internet from reddit site about power supply surges detected.

    Also listen. This is link:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrac...rges_detected/

    Last post, user OAFAH said:

"The surge protection feature on Asus boards will trigger in the event of a suddenly power cut. Literally anything could trigger it, from a sudden power loss to accidentally flicking your PSU switch. The more pressing issue is that your computer keeps suddenly restarting. That isn't normal, and usually points to one of two problems: either your PSU is not delivering stable current, or your motherboard's VRMs are unstable."

User OAFAH said first that surge protection feature on Asus boards will trigger in the event of a suddenly power cut. Literally anything could trigger it, from a sudden power loss to accidentally flicking your PSU switch.

But then he said that problem usually points to one of two problems: either your PSU is not delivering stable current, or your motherboard's VRMs are unstable.

So power cut ,power loss can trigger this too? So why he said next that this usually points to one of two problems: either your PSU is not delivering stable current, or your motherboard's VRMs are unstable.

Why i create topic. He was mean that restarting pc with anti surge warning is always because of not stable mobo and psu? Or power cut too can cause restart with Anti Surge warning?

Forget it: despite what OAFAH said, usually ASUS surge protection is highly unreliable, your best bet is to disable it in BIOS.

BTW, which specific mobo/CPU/PSU do you have?

Asus Anti Surge is useless. Disable it.

Ok listen. Can pc restart on its own with anti surge warning due to short power outage?
I ask because on bios i have AC POWER LOSS RESTART OFF.

Few days ago i had power outage and pc restarted with anti surge warning. But i have restart OFF after power loss in bios. Can somebody explain me this? Thanks.
    Why it not shutdown then?

Can you try a different power supply? The reboots could point to a defective power supply. Which graphics card do you have?

    Not have different power supply.

    GPU is Gtx 1080.

Few days ago i had power outage which resulted in restarted pc with anti surge warning. But i have restart OFF after power loss in bios. Can somebody explain me this? Thanks.
Why it not shutdown but restart? Is my psu faulty?

Defect motherboard or PSU is most likely the problem. Changing the PSU is the most simple option, so that's what I would try first. You don't need a 750W PSU btw, a high-end 450W PSU is more then enough, even with overclocking.
