Default Looking to buy UPS, how do I know if my PSU need pure sine wave or not?

So, I'm looking to purchase a UPS because certain blackout in my household lately.

I have 2 PC with NeoECO II 450w and EVGA GQ 750w.

Pure sine wave UPS costs like 3 times than the standard UPS, just wondering if it's okay to use non pure sine wave PSU like this one for my PCs?

You don't *need* a pure sine wave UPS for a consumer level product. That's overkill.

Of course one wonders how the APFC circuit deals with a square wave.

A good PSU should shut down if the wave exceeds the expected input voltage.

If the PSU shuts down when the UPS goes into battery mode, you should get a better UPS.

Welcome at jonnyGURU.com. Because you're new here, let me explain to you that it isn't really useful to answer a topic which is already more then 1,5 year old. The topic starter probably doesn't need any advise over this subject anymore. His last visit was also more than a year ago. So it's also likely he never is gonna see your reply.

Actually, I find this topic of current relevance given the over voltage that can result from the use of a square wave input and APFC (I would need dig up the thread on this topic, but it was relatively recent)

The guys location is Everest; I suspect big foot is having trouble with the local electrical supply.

But this is good for database, right? Like, if someone with a similar questions googles and is redirected to this thread, he will get an answer instead of a blank post.
