You don't like Zalmans in any case (pun intended)!

Just out of curiosity, when you wrote «f you seek well built case which can be with you for many years, see many total upgrades of your rig... or you simply just work often in your case tweaking or replacing things, look elsewhere», what's that "elsewhere"? Possibly for a somehow comparable price tag.

Elsewhere than for this model. Though it should be among the best from Zalman, as far as I have been told, so maybe more like even different brand. They just don't make anything much better than 0.6-0.7mm paper with bad painting.

IMO it has little sense to blame Zalman just because something better may exist in current market, Pavel: either it does exist or not, and in case I'd like to know which is this better option. Said differently, if you can't point out those options, your remarks are a bit pointless for your readers.

And if this hypothetical option actually exists and you may name it, but it also costed substantially more than the Z9 Neo, IMO it has also little sense to blame Zalman on that. Said differently, a Prime Titanium 650 is better than a RM650x, but the Corsair isn't too shabby and you may buy two units with the same money you need for just one Seasonic.

I haven't said for the same money anywhere, have I? It will be likely more expensive.

But the difference between two high-end units like RMx and PT is much lower than between mainstream like CX and high-end (PT, or even the RMx). And that's it - Zalman only makes low-end to mainstream in cases. If you want better quality - and there are way better cases there - there is no other option than to go elsewhere. You simply won't get much better from Zalman.

If you want me to name, I had nice experience with CM Advance CM690-II or how's it called. Though hardly ideal for me, even the Fractal's Define cases are different league compared to Z9 Neo. Not that much more expensive yet better was even the last-time reviewed Azza Taurus 5000B.

As for mainstream cases, can't name at this moment, I never been shopping for such myself and so far have quite little experience in this segment. Though I have one more case for over a year now (SilentiumPC) which should be processed soon and something else should be also on the way to me at this very moment. I'll definitelly make some comparison in those reviews.

Well, in the end, it won't. I finally jumped on the SPC sample I got for a year now. It is 5 cm smaller though a bit wider than the Z9 Neo. Costs about the same. But the quality is night and day difference.

My friend got a Z9. I was impressed. It looked like a solid case.
