    Default PC Problem

    Everyday on 1st boot
    - press power button, nothing happens
    - wait for 2-5 secs, power suddenly on, then off again, then on and go to posting
    - after press F1, another off and on and back to normal

    Things I've already tried:
    - change to a brand new Seasonic PSU with the same wattage as previous one

    Please help.

This is likely an issue with the motherboard. Maybe try updating the BIOS.

For some motherboards it's even normal behavior.

Whoever accepts that as normal must either use a PC from the stone age, not use their PC enough for it to matter, or they have extreme patience (very unlikely).

Agreed that it's the motherboard, but do not accept this as normal behavior!

Socket 775 motherboards had it and some socket 1366 motherboards do it and probably more because that's only what I remember.

I'm pretty sure that some manufacturers made a selling point out of it, IIRC Abit claimed that the mobo was doing some integral checks and whatnot on the first boot attempt. I can't find any evidence on that though. I still own an Abit IP35-E, and it dual boots every time from the day one.

Yes I believe they indeed do some checks etc. Some motherboards also only do it when you overclock.
