Post Xfx TS 650w Bronze or XFX TS 650w Gold

Hello guys, I need to get new PSU so i am wondering which one is better quality unit XFX TS 650w Gold or XFX TS 650w Bronze.
I can see here http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/...tier-list.html that bronze is tier 1 and gold is tier 2.
So which one is gonna last longer in normal use, has better parts and so on.

What are your PC specifications and what's available? Can you give us a link to the store?

Linking to that horrible, fan-boy based "tier" list is a bannable offense. NEITHER are "tier 1" from a manufacturer's sense.

    You've been warned.

I see you're in Serbia. Can you link the stores you would normally shop at so we can "browse" for you?

And, as the Mask stated, it's good to know what CPU and GPU(s) you have so we can better estimate how much power you really need.

Unless, of course, you already own these two PSUs and are figuring out which to use and which to chuck in the garbage.

    Both aren't that great...

The 'normal' TS is just shit, wouldn't bother with it.
Cheapish Group Regulated thing with just the absolute neccessary protection -> no OTP, no OCP anywhere, so avoid.

The TS Gold is Seasonic S12G or G-Series. They are OKish, but rather loud under load (~250W).

What else is available in your region?
Bitfenix Whisper M would be a good choice, Cougar GX-S or Super Flower Leadex or Golden King.

And 550W should be enough for most configurations, even 450W.
ONly if you want to use more than one CPU or GPU you need more than ~500W...

IIRC it's a Seasonic SS-650HT based unit with DC-DC, not group vreg. I don't think it's that bad.

Not true it has DC-DC, does have OCP don't know about the OTP.

There are more brands then the ones that are only sold by German distribution centres.

Yes it is indeed, for your PC a Seasonic G-series 360W should already be more then enough.

Normally if you're building a high-end gaming machine with one graphics card a high quality 450W PSU should be enough in 99,99% of the cases. Because it's already enough for a i7 6700K and Titan Pascal. It should also be more then fine for a AMD Ryzen octocore CPU with a Vega 10 graphics card which both should launch begin next year.

So do you have any upgrades planned? Or do you want to overclock your CPU and/or graphics card?
