    Default R9 290X power requirement

http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ suggests 560W PSU for my build with wattage load of 509W

    R9 290X
    i5 6500 3.2Ghz
    GIGABYTE H110M-S2PV DDR3

i am looking for a high quality PSU that can handle the 290x

i was looking for a 700-750w PSU for plenty of headroom for OC and general upgrades in the future till my friend told me that a 650w PSU is more than enough for my specs.

    PSU Options:

    1) Corsair Vengeance V650
    (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory6&reid=475)

    2) CoolerMaster G750M
    http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory6&reid=430)

    3) XFX ProSeries 750W
    (http://www.kitguru.net/components/po...pply-review/6/)

    which one u guys recommend?

Don't get fooled by such bullcrap that all the PSU calculators serve you. Even a 450W PSU would have a substantial headroom in your case. Getting a 750W PSU is just plain ridiculous and a waste of money, unless you'd want to have two R9-290X cards in the future (with appropriate mobo of course), and I'd advise you against that anyway.

For example, Corsair RM550X would be far more than enough (pretty much double what you actually need).

I also think your PSU isn't properly sized: IMHO 750W is for TWO factory oc'ed R9 290X, not just one. With a single AIB card you should draw ~330-390W peak while gaming.

What's available in Greece? Can you give us some links to a web store or price comparator?

Corsair Vengeance 400W is the best choice for its price.
Other good options are the Seasonic G-series 450W, be quiet Straight Power 10 400W and Corsair RM550x.

Bitfenix Whisper 450M could also be a great option, but it isn't in that price comparator, could be because it just launched.

While gaming the whole PC doesn't draw much more than the GPU itself (just check some reviews which measure the draw at the wall, like HardOCP, PC Perspective, TweakTown, Anandtech, etc.).
