On the original Grind there's no volume control, just a remote control for play/stop/switch/accept incoming calls on earcup.

Other ppl had, don't want to risk it especially when it's not for me.

Beyond the construction of the headset itself, I can't imagine why the wireless would be a bad choice.

Battery life: I leave mine plugged in, like a wired headset, until I have to move away from the computer.

Range: I can't only go about 6 feet from the computer when I'm wired. If I'm not able to get 20 feet away, I'm not going to bitch about it.

Interference: This is something that some people experience sometimes. If I stand in front of a microwave oven, I might hear buzzing. If I'm in the same room as a baby monitor, I might hear the baby.

Colleague of mine in PCT redaction has some nasty experience with them craps turning off to save battery with very silent pasages of music. So basically you have blackouts of the sound during the playback.

Then, like I said, you leave them plugged in while you're at the keyboard. Any USB cable is more robust than a standard 2.5mm jack cable, AND it's technically "detachable". Problem solved.

Does it communicate over the USB, or is it just for charging? Anyway its like shooting ants with RPG.

Just for charging... you know.. so you don't run into the battery issues that one would otherwise complain about.
