    Default EVGA 650w P2 vs Corsair RM650x

    Hello Jonnyguru Forum,

I've been looking to buy a power supply and I have decided on the two I think will suit me best but others can be considered if they match better.

Due to a few problems I have had with my PC in the past I have become really sensitive to most types of noise so I'm looking for a power supply that is quiet (Doesn't have to be silent just not really loud) and has lower chance of having coil whine or random buzzing noises.

If you could help me with the choice as I know some people here have knowledge or even if you no another brand or certain power supply.

    P.S. I don't want to spend more then £120

    Thanks

What is your build first? More than likely you don't need more than:
Corsair SF450? With an SFX -> ATX adapter of course...
    A SF450 is 85 pounds rn on amazon.co.uk.

    Or I guess RM550x?

    That's ~225W under 100% load.

Are you sure you wanna do that?

The gains in BF1 are for example, NONE.

    Anyway, get an RM550X.

Which GTX 1070 do you have?

The game isn't launched yet, so drivers from AMD and nVidia are lacking support for BF1. Still SLI en CrossFire both work in DX11. I also expect DX12 Explicit Multi Adapter in the future for BF1.

You may try this one or, on the other hand, this other one.
    Best, Luca
