    Default Router/AP

    Hey guys.

Getting 500mbps (they don't have infrastructure for gigabit yet ) on tuesday. However, my current router (which is in access point mode) won't cut it.

Whats a good router/AP to buy? Was thinking of ubnt stuff, but it's too finiky and I like my netgear consumer grade "rubbish"
I'm also not willing to spend like the price of a 4gb RX480 for a router...

I'm a big fan of the netgear stuff, but what is good?

http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/...i-mesh-system/ (I don't think a Netgear Orbi setup can come cheaper).

BTW, look if that may help your quest: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wi-fi-router/

Settled on a Netgear R7000... It covers the whole house quite well (Canadian houses are literally a piece of wood and insulation.

It also handles 500mbps internet very well. Thanks for the help man!

Now... What to do with the additional internet bandwidth? :P
