    LOL!

    Stability Power...

Well, at least they have a sense of humor.

The load table is accurate if you move the ratings down so that 250W ones are next to the 500W label, and just delete the ones above 300W and extrapolate down to the missing ones for less than 400W
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.

OTOH at the 500W level the load table says that the max 3.3V & 5V max power is 230W and the 12V max power is 240W, so that the combined max power at the 500W level is... 470W? Uhm... try again: at the 250W level the load table says that the max 3.3V & 5V max power is 120W and the 12V max power is 144W, so that the combined max power at the 250W level is... 264W?

    WOW! That's accurate!

I meant that the unit probably uses a 12A (ultra-)fast recovery TO-220 packaged diode for the 12V rail and probably a 30A schottky for 3V3 and 30-40A schottky for the 5V rail. So accurate in that regard.

Also you forgot to add the 5VSB and -12V rails to the total power, but it doesn't correctly add up even then

LOL. Waiting for a Tacens*rebrand to buy it in Spain!

There are very good Tacens units made by Linkworld, like Radix Eco.

Well Linkworld actually has something modern with two-forward and active PFC, and I got it in a queue for a few weeks now. But some case will hopefully follow first.

But most of their units on the market are still these obsolete gutless wonders. I already have the results and will process it tonight. Quite interesting though, it did not explode, some protection triggered but I have no idea which one (the regulation is shit and the voltages were completely out so it could very well be UVP). I estimate the failures of these particular units will mostly be coming from a direction you would not expect it…
