I am very sorry we are not able to please you and that you are not satisfied with OW's scoring. Our R&D have worked long and hard on the PRIME project and this is the best product we have brought to market in our 41 years of history. We are very proud of our PRIME and at the same time we are very grateful to OW to bestow the highest score on our product.

It is a bit sad to read your posts accusing us of paying for the review as this is something we have never done and never will do. I really hope you will be able to find something worthwhile to do with your time, be constructive and add value to this excellent Forum.

    Thank you.
There is always one guy, nothing you can do about it but handle it like this, with a good reply.

Meanwhile, you got yourself a new customer with this Prime series, I will buy one as soon as they land at my retailer, and my brother is getting one in his new Zen rig too this winter.

Good job Seasonic, it is a crazy good product!

Apparently Newegg baits you with the price and adds the Australia tax with shipping.

Yeah, isn't that the way import taxes and tariffs work?

Sounds like you need to pick a fight with your government, right?

Shame on Newegg for obeying the law.

EXACTLY! You're spot on! Shame on them! Newegg should ship free for international customers, not add tax and also send the packages on a special pirate vessel that evades the oppressive taxes of the recipient's country that just pad the wallets of the wealthy! (I'm almost out of rhetoric here Jonny, please help me out, would you? ;-)

And in case anyone missed the point, please go read up on Poe's Law. Although, as a South African, I wouldn't mind no taxes on imported electron goods seeing as the government jacked up the import tax on them substantially... :-/

    Default Components affected

I was wondering the 5.4 volt spikes would affect the life of any component....Could someone elaborate on this before I purchase this beast?

"On we go to the power on spike tests. And I can't help feeling some disappointment here... I was hoping these shots would be cleaner given the company we're dealing with. We have a 5.4V spike on the standby rail as it comes to full power"

Absolutely NO: that behaviour, albeit not stylistically flawless, is perfectly in specs.

There is one thing that is essential. Rating is the subjective opinion of the author. Such an opinion is handy as a conclusion of the review, but it is completely irrelevant to the serious approach. The review highlighted weaknesses. In case that the author did not mention disadvantages, we could speak negatively related to approach. What is not the case.
I think the author still made a mistake in the re-interpretation of results. In the picture "VSB On" it is clear overshoot during starting. But it is not a 5.4V more about 0.4V. Overshoot is less than 10% above the nominal voltage, so it is in ATX specs.

Default i got a seasonic titanium 750 with no output

took it back to the Sunnyvale Central Computer store and they replaced it

    what could it be?

will they (Seasonic) honor their warranty?

do i need to register the psu?

this is unthinkable, it's like getting a bad Honda.

What do you mean, "will they honor the warranty"? You got a replacement, haven't you?

No product is immune from having dead-on-arrival samples. That's why there's warranty, to mitigate the fact that every now and then a bad unit will make it to the market. It even could've gotten damaged by rough transport (but left the factory in full working order), which is something the manufacturer can't really control.

You should probably buy a lottery ticket soon.

Also, it might be worth it to contact our resident Seasonic Representative, should you have any additional concerns.
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.
