Well, you may want to do it if you want to focus on a specific brand/name and not want to wait until the next line is ready.

So it can make sense, in a way.

Especially since the naming of the existing lines is not that recognizable, so they want to introduce a new brand name for that...

I there should be a whole lot other manufacturers than that...
And since Toyota (the car manufacturer) also does sewing machines, there are a lot of possibilitys...

    Mitsubishi for example.
Is there anything Mitsubishi doesn't do?

True. But we've SEEN Japanese made, Sony brand SMPS PSUs before... even in this very forum.

Yes. There are others.. But Sony is the first that comes to mind. Also, a lot of Japanese manufacturers... or rather "brands"... do not actually manufacture in Japan.

it is not Sony, it is another manufacturer (and a very large one) not known to many or most of you. Only the ones with experience in a type of electronic components will probably know it.

Some Japanese Emerson-type Telco-PSU company, but CM would have probs keeping them for too low volume.

Could be... Panasonic, TDK, Fujitsu, uhhh Sharp? Or Mitsubishi?

Those 4 are ones I'm guessing, as I've bought a lot of components, including a couple 12v smps from those.

nec/ takasago and cosel could be it IMO
