Default Corsair AX1200i has a strange model number written on

hello. i tried opening up a ticket with corsair, but no response yet. so i figured i'll ask here

i bought an AX1200i from amazon (new, directly from amazon). when i opened the box i noticed that it had a strange model number. on the PSU it says, model: 75-000784 (see attachment), which is different from what your website shows. the outer box however, shows the correct model number, CP-9020008-NA. the serial numbers on the unit and box match

is this normal? amazon sent me someone else's damaged return a few years back. i hope they didn't send me a refurb or something like that because i dropped some serious benjamins on this thing.

    thanks

"Tried" or "did"? Has it been 24 hours yet?

    As for your question...

The "75-" part number is for the PSU itself. Every part in the box has it's own part number. The manual, the cable bag, etc.

The "CP-" part number is the finished goods part number.

that's odd. i also have an HX850i, and on the unit it has the normal part number written on the label, CP-9020073-NA. that's what threw me off.. as long as it's normal, i can sleep soundly.

    thanks

EDIT: just dug up a cx600m i no longer use. that unit only has the "75-" model number on the label. but no sign of the "CP-" number. this lack of sonsistancy really messes with my OCD. lol
