Finally (I was curious): and no mention of the "brazilian incident" (as somewhat expected: one swallow cannot make a summer).

Well EVGA certainly does seem to have a brazilian different PSU SKUs on the market.

    Black PCB. MOV in place.

I think Paul said this unit was actually purchased from the store and not a review sample.

So they may actually split up what PSUs go where by region rather than a rolling change in the whole product offering.

    Oh. You're right.

So one thing is consistent... They removed the MOV.

I really do not understand your obsession with the MOV...

Me, personally, or the U.S. in general?

Me, personally, I am not "obsessed" with the implementation of an MOV.

Remember, CS-M got dinged for not having an MOV or TVS diode for surge suppression, but there is surge suppression built into the circuit. It's just not as easy to define as "ok.. There's an MOV".

So... from a "Corsair employee" stand point... I want to make sure if Corsair is going to get dinged for lack of MOV, someone that also decides to take the MOV out of a product after the review samples have dried up also gets dinged as well.
