Default Fan replacement for an Antec Edge 550W?

As in title: sole reason is the relevant noise (so don't point out ADDA, it sucks as well, noise wise).

I was thinking to the BQ-SIW3-13525-HF but, since more than year (and several announces) ago, Be Quiet never started to sell their Silent Wings 3 lineup (BTW, does anyone know why? I found just some rare either fakes or discarded/stolen items from bequiet OEM factories off ebay).

Thanks in advance for any help/hint.
    Best, Luca

The EDGE unfortunately has a 135mm fan, so it will be hard to find a replacement. Thankfully it's a stock design, and nothing custom at least.

Since you won't really be able to find anything in the retail space, I would suggest getting a zener diode to drop the voltage of the fan. The drop will remain consistent throughout the power draw (amperage) and won't generate much heat.

You'll want to grab a diode around 5w for that fan, but it should give you a consistent drop on the voltage and only needs a cheap soldering iron to wire up.

The other option would be to find a Scythe Kama-Flex 135mm (SA1325FDB12H), as it's one of the few fans I can recall in the retail space with an FDB, and 135mm mounting holes. These have been DC'd for awhile though, so tracking one down might be a litttle hard. Especially since they were not terribly popular.

Is there any reliable source for Protechnic?

    It isn't suitable, it's 135mm but with 140mm holes.

    80mm & 120mm 12v & 24v fans are pretty widely available but not 135mms unfortunately.

What about a 140mm fan with 120mm holes? Then just zip tie/drill new holes

A fan such as the noctua redux nf-p14r

Maybe, though I guess it would be somehow easier a 140 with 140 holes.

True. I was thinking the 140 with 120 holes for compatibility reasons.

I don't understand what ADDA has to do with this unit as there is no ADDA fan inside but a Hong Hua FDB one with 2000rpm, at least in the 650W according to crmaris...

He said he doesn't want to see ADDA recommended as he's dissatisfied with PSU's noise output.

Uhm: does anyone know the exact starting voltage of that Hong Hua/Ong Hua HA13525H12F-Z ? 4.2V (Noctua Redux P14s 1500) would look like too high to let the fan start at low (about 20°C) ambient temp.
I can't access from Italy http://http://dghonghua.l247.bizcn.com/ which should be the relevant website. Joerg, do you mind to supply any hint?
