    Great, meaybe we can try a poll…should I first test the SCP on all rails (incl. -12 V), or loading it first? Chances are both will end with explosion

    Loading. Let's see, what kind of efficiency/ripple/vreg we get.

    Surprisingly, many junk units I dealt with DID shut down on SC.

    Yeah but all rails? I would believe it to have SC protection on all the positive rails, but have some doubts about -12 V

    -12V almost never has SCP, OCP, etc. Typically the diode just blows up.

    Nah, just main 3 ones.

    Personally, I don't even care about -12V results anymore for pretty obvious reasons.

    It can still blow, pretty obviously as it carries only small power…

    Jon: well the Seasonic G series has OCP in there, which is problem on its own…gets too easily tripped.
