Arrow EVGA Supernova T2 850W Review

We started off January with two 80 Plus Titanium units back to back. Let's get February started with Titanium as well as we continue to look at EVGA's new line of units. We'll throw the 850 watt model at the load testers today. Come on in... this should be good!

Thanks Wolf. Good to see they are using chemi cons in the cable. If only there was a 450w-500w titanium now I could throw in my htpc

I think no one is actually available, Orion (set aside that CFD platform).

No, the ripple score is not getting a mythic bracket anytime soon. I have to see these results without in cable capacitors far more often than I have been. Only the really high end OEMs seem able to do it consistently. The industry as a whole just isn't there yet.
I think there's plenty of room for a mythic level PSUs ripple rating. From your very own reviews, the AX1500i did under 15mV, and the much older Antec Signature SG850 hit 13mV on 12V back in 2008. Oh, and most importantly, both did it without in-cable capacitors.

Should such a level of performance be worth a mark or half a mark? I'm not sure, but I definitely think the tier should exist, if only as a very, very mild kick to get PSU makers to give it a go. Personally, I'd even go super-strict and set it all the way down at 10mV, because I'm cruel like that.

I think instead of deducting a half point, he should give the mythical units a score of 11
