Whats the price difference for the TS 550w in your country?

The one you should be getting, isn't any of those XFX units, but the Antec VPF 450w / 550w if you can still get one.

    Just found this thread.

XFX XT is comming from Seasonic like all XFX PSUs.

i just had all models of XT Series 400,500,600.

The price is very low, so this units are aiming for cheap system integration.

Performance is quite good and protections SCP etc. are working.
Best is, that its really 80 Plus Bronze @ 115V wich you see not so often in this price segment.

Don't forget the pictures from the inside of the PSU.

Newegg photos, high res scraped and lightened up:

Quadruple heatsink design - bridge rectifier, PFC, switchers and secondary transistors.
Black and gold capacitor visible on the right - looks kinda like the golden Capxon GF, but not quite.

Black heatsinks on 500W and 600W versions - Seasonic does that sometimes.

PCB screened for additional unused X cap in the top right corner. Black and gold X-vent cap on the bottom (not Teapo, as you could expect from their "Taiwanese capacitors" claim).

(500W) Different heatsink shape - similar to what Seasonic uses sometimes. Plain ERL-35 transformer marking - unusual for Seasonic.

(600W) More transformer markings, not used by Seasonic so far. The half-visible X-vent capacitor in the bottom seems to be brownish-reddish in colour - could be Su'scon.

Thanks, fixed. I made myself a macro so I don't need to make all these clickable thumbnail/fullres links by hand, and put one more double quote in the script than needed

Ah, of course... that was quite obvious. The XFX XT series is designed by Seasonic, but is outsourced to Shenzhen Ruishengyuan Technology. It shares the internal design with Hydance CT series.

Hydance is a brand of Energy Power Enterprise, which is a subsidiary of Seasonic. They are both outsourced to Ruishengyuan, that's why the design, transformer markings, and other visible things were unusual to what Seasonic does.

    Hydance CT 400W

I wrote some more stuff here: http://www.orionpsudb.com/news/the-m...orm-discovered

If RobiKenobi says they perform quite well, then I'm happy with that. CS doesn't have the best reputation for caps, though.

I don't have enough information to determine that. Super Flower's trade documents that I have are not conclusive about that, but they don't mention any products based on the Leadex platform family. At least not relating to Ruishengyuan, because it isn't the only facility SF is outsourcing to.

I guess RSY is doing better than I thought - I'd almost forgotten about those guys

Well, let's hope we get to see one of those units tested properly...
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.
