Default Could my xfx psu be killing my ssd's?

I was using this psu for a while: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207022

    I'm now using this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-028-_-Product

While using the xfx psu, 2 sandisk ultra II 240gb ssd's died on me in less than a year. If it helps any, here are my current specs:

    case: corsair carbide 500r
    mobo: gigabyte z68ap-d3 rev 2
    videocard: evga gtx 970
    memory: g.skill 4gb f3-10666cl9-4gbrl x2
cpu: i5 2500k not currently overclocked

Did they just mysteriously stop working all of a sudden?

Yeah, one day I just restarted my pc (wasn't installing updates or anything) and the bios stopped seeing it. I used a usb adapter to test it and nothing showed up. The adapter worked with my hard drive.

Probably just the SSDs. They're fast... But not very reliable.

Is that a known bad model/series or is SanDisk just bad in general?

Seriously?! I thought SSDs would be a bit more reliable without the moving parts and all. I'm sad now I guess I'll keep windows installed on my mechanical drive for now.

Nah, specifically these SSDs. I've had one of the Sandusk Ultras fail on me as well. I pretty much stick exclusively with Micron/Crucial stuff now because of it. I still have an old M4 64GB that still works that I used in a pfsense box recently, an M4 240GB that I use myself for games, and a couple m500s. Never had a problem from Crucial drives.

I personally use mostly Samsungs. I have a 950 Pro 256GB (in my main computer), the 850 Pro 128GB (server) and 256GB (mom's laptop), and 840 Series 120GB (external enclosure) in service in various computers around here.

(the non-Samsung SSDs I have are a Kingston HyperX Predator 240GB in my sister's computer and a SanDisk ReadyCache 32GB in my grandparents' computer - yes, as the boot drive)

The only SSD I've ever had fail on me, in fact, was an old cheap "Wintec" or something 64GB.

Thanks for the feedback. I currently have the crucial mx200. I got it about a month ago because I got fed up with the sandisk drives.
