Since the translate isn't exactly "reliable" was the audible fan noise at low loads bearing noise, or related to the speed of the fan?

Bearing, because it was a dual ball bearing and not a fluid dynamic bearing which was promised on the box.

There were some problems with the FDB fans, so for the first revision they changed it to a 2BB, second revision should have the FDB fan.

Very good review @Mask, well done!!
P.S. There is one little typo at the chart regarding the rail's DC output. It says "Antec VPF 450W rail verdeling" at the top.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, if i may ask: who is Philip? friend of yours or someone who donated the PSU for testing? [(i have donated my Tt GRAND 650 to Callum for testing, ( http://www.hardwareinsights.com/wp/t...g-650w-review/ ), that's why i'm curious about this case ]

That happens when the camera is to close to the object but to far away to use the macro function.

although i happened to notice the "retired reviewer" logo at your name.
PSU reviewing doesn't pay off anymore i assume, or are you fed up with the PSUs?

Yeah, caseking…they don't talk to me as much as before. I think I should remind myself But they usually don't have lower-powered versions as samples

PC Games Hardware decided not to use my services any more. They now decided to do all their psu testing inhouse again. Unfortunately there is none there who knows what he's doing and they also don't have similar equipment, but hey, their full time editors are paid with the regular salary anyway and they probably don't piss off advertising clients. They've done this before, until too many readers complained about the low quality of the reviews in the print magaine (which is 3,99€)...

I'm looking for a new gig, but that might not be so easy. There are only very few sites which actually pay. I've got a regular job which pays the bils, but I don't see any reason providing my time and skills for free.
