    Default Pc Build Suggestions? :)

Hello, I've been researching for over a month or so about parts and building a gaming/editing PC. I'm not sure if to go Skylake or Haswell.

    Option 1: Haswell, Mid tower
    Cpu: i5-4460, 3.2GHz / i5-4690, 3.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Cryorig H7 (49.0 CFM)
Motherboard: MSI Z97S Sli Krait Edition
Memory:8GB Kingston HyperX Fury White (2x4GB) DD3-1866 Memory
SSD: 128GB Samsung Pro Series,, 2.5" SSD
HD: 1TB WD Caviar Blue, 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0?
    or EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW+ ACX 2.0 4GB?
    Case: Fractal Define S/R5
    PSU: Seasonic Platinum 660XP 660W

    Option 2: Skylake, Mini ITX
    Cpu: i5-6500
    Cpu Cooler: Cryorig H7
Motherboard: MSI Z170 Gaming Pro AC
Memory: 8GB Corsair Vengenace LPX, (1x8GB) DRR4-2400 Memory
    SSD: 120GB Samsung 850 EVO, 2.5" SSD
    HD: 1TB WD Blue 3.5" 7200 RPM
    GPU: MSI Geforce GTX Gaming
Case: Phanteks Enthoo EVOLVE ITX Mini ITX Tower Case
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Are either of these a good build for gaming and running programs like Photoshop/Illustrator? I'm looking for a good quality motherboard that has wireless built in aswell. I'm not sure what else I should be looking for. Maybe HDMI, DVI/DVI-S or Display port. I want to be able to use 2 monitors.

If I can get some suggestions here, that would be great~ Thanks!

    What's your intended/maximum budget?
Which usage scenario holds priority, gaming or productivity?
Is it only Photoshop and Illustrator, or do you intend to use any other productivity software, and what kind (AutoCAD, 3D Studio, Maya, Adobe Premiere...)?
How important are external/internal aesthetics of the machine? Would you give them precedence over functionality if the trade-off is not huge?
Do you prefer bold or understated looks? How about LED lighting?
Do you already have the monitor(s) you intend to use? What resolution are they, or what resolution are you gunning for?
Do you need bluetooth as well or just wireless? Do you already have a wireless router in place?
What are your data storage needs? Tons of multimedia (movies, music), a large Steam library you like to keep locally cached?

Just some of the questions that will help us help you... There may be more, depending on the answers
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.

    What's your intended/maximum budget?

My budget is around $1500 AUD

Which usage scenario holds priority, gaming or productivity?

I don't really play top title games, but I love to play League of Legends. Something that I can maybe go back and play WoW on and other steam games. Not sure where you can find on Steam how big your steam library is.

I don't use Photoshop and Illustrator often but just something I would like to get back into sort of thing

How important are external/internal aesthetics of the machine?
4 Usb (2x 2.0 and 2x 3.0: the more 3.0 the better) but I can live with 2. Dust filters would be nice.

Would you give them precedence over functionality if the trade-off is not huge?

I would like something unique but also something that is easy to travel around with. Not quiet sure how to answer that question probably xD

Do you prefer bold or understated looks? How about LED lighting?
LED lighting isn’t really a huge deal breaker.

Do you already have the monitor(s) you intend to use? What resolution are they, or what resolution are you gunning for?

    I have a 23" HP LED monitor (60 hertz) Resolution:1920x1080~

Do you need bluetooth as well or just wireless? Do you already have a wireless router in place?

    Bluetooth may come in handy.
I don’t use it at the moment but who knows when I will. lol

What are your data storage needs? Tons of multimedia (movies, music), a large Steam library you like to keep locally cached?

Mostly just steam games and a few movies.

Just some of the questions that will help us help you... There may be more, depending on the answers

Thanks for your help so far

Whether there was a preferred australian shop engine/price comparator, it would be nice if you pointed us out, as that help us to help you better.

Whow, nasty prices you have there... ok, that's just a quick selection from PCCaseGear for gaming with a 1920 x 1080 monitor

As you can see, it's not radically different from what you did, except the graphics card.
