Set aside SSD/HDD (probably I will look to some market leader like a Samsung 850 Pro 512Gb SSD paired with a WD Purple 3-4TB for data storage, but I'm quite confident any good drive won't really disappoint you), that's mostly a matter of personal preferences, rather than technical reasons.

Corsair keyboards and mice are nice things, whether their style is your cup of tea (personally I use CM Storm and Noppoo mechanical keyboards, Thermalright and Mionix mice, I'm quite satisfied but there's plenty of options, and I think I might live happily with a Vengeance combo myself).

The 980Ti isn't still enough to max out at 4K gaming, so if you rather you might look at either 1440p gaming monitors (120-144Hz refresh rate) or large (27-30 inches) 1440p IPS monitor, you might give a look at TFT Central website for some more sound info about.
    Best, Luca

Thank you again for your help.

Monitor: I have my eye on a Dell U2715H 27" LED Monitor with IPS Panel 2560x1440-dp/dvu/hdmi/black - as the main display.

Possibly use my current Dell WFP2408 24" as secondary, but it is getting on a bit and showing signs or wear...i.e. I get coloured bars down the right side of the screen when it is cold, but they do generally disperse once warmed up. It depends on the temperature of my room.
I was going to replace it anyway.

But might be tempted with a slightly lower quality 27" monitor as a secondary.

I did look at 4K monitors, but they get a bit pricey, and would required a 2nd GTX980Ti, so dumped that idea.

The SSD will probably be: Samsung 512GB 850 PRO Performance 2.5" SSD/Solid State Drive.

HDD Western Digital WD5003AZEX Caviar Black 500GB HDD 7200rpm.

Keyboard possibly be: Corsair Raptor K40 Multicolour RGB LED Gaming Keyboard with New Log.

Mouse: Corsair Vengeance M95 Performance Laser Gaming Mouse - Black.

Geez, I had forgotten how long it takes to try and research a component, look for reviews, find some YT reviews, then dump the idea for another version...

All part of the fun though, and not done this since 2008, and glad I went with the X58 chipset and the flagship Gigabyte board.

For some reason I hold a grudge against Asus, the same as I do with Apple.....but then I am weird.

    Thanks again for help.

    I agree whit this :
    Cpu: i7-6700k.
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX - DDR4 - 16 GB : 4 x 4 GB
    PSU: Corsair 850i/860iW
Drives - probably an SSD + mechanical like a 500GB V-Raptor - will decide later.

I was going to get the Corsair Hydro H110, but it's not compatible with the LGA 1151 board.
